Kristine Votova is a Project Director with the Department of Research and Capacity Building, Island Health (BC) where she oversees the research operations of a large-scale GAPH multi-site translational project in stroke biomarkers.  Her CIHR postdoctoral studies were undertaken at the UBC Faculty of Medicine in the department of Anesthesiology, Pharmacology and Therapeutics where she was involved in a province-wide health technology assessment of pharmacological treatments for mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.  She has an extensive background in clinical and health service research conduct, management, research ethics and compliance, Knowledge Translation and implementation.  As a social gerontologist her research portfolio is broad and includes cognitive health, emergency medicine, palliative care, falls prevention, complementary and alternative medicine, and polypharmacy.
